HistoryTeachers Channel

Created by two history teachers from Honolulu, Hawaii, HistoryTeachers has over 50 music videos that cover such topics as Napoleon, The French Revolution, Shakespeare, Pompeii, Vikings and more. Their YouTube channel has been going strong for almost 3 years now with new videos being uploaded about once a month. Below is their video about William the Conqueror and the Battle of Hastings. I will never forget the year 1066 again!

Thanks to ktenkely for sharing this find!

  1. This looks like a great site, but alas, I can not watch it here at school unless I use my password to bypass the filter!!! I will have to watch this from home. I would love to share this resource but obviously would have to provide another location for teachers to access it. I wonder if it is on TeacherTube? I will have to check that out!

  2. Point well-taken Tammy.

On Teacher Tube, enter into the search box the following keywords: "historyteachers song" or use this link: http://tinyurl.com/66gxewe and see what you get. You won't find all of the videos listed, but at least a half-dozen are indeed on Teacher Tube.

On YouTube, if you or any of your teachers find one they particularly like, then use KeepVid or Zamzar to grab a copy of the video for download.
